On March 14, in Hanoi, PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power) and the consortium of contractors (Samsung C&T Corporation), Vietnam Machinery Erection Corporation (Lilama) held a ceremony for signing the Engineering –Procurement – Construction (EPC) Contract for Nhon Trach 3 &4 power plants and other relevant agreements.

The seminar was attended by representatives from research and production agencies such as: Dr. Le Duc Dung - Deputy Director of the Institute of Refrigeration Science and Technology; Mr. Trinh Van Yen - Head of Energy Technology Department of Northern Power Experiment Company Limited; Mr. Au Nguyen Dinh Thao - Deputy Director of Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company.

“Violations at Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Project have been handled by the competent authorities in accordance with the provisions of the law, including the story of recovering state assets lost from the project. . However, this cannot be a reason to continue to affect the implementation of the Project", is the motto set by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) during the implementation of related works to complete the project. All investment in the construction of this power plant in the context of newly built large power sources is increasingly scarce.

This is the third time since the 2019 Lunar New Year, PVN member Dinh Van Son directly delivered a briefing and checked the progress of the project. Attending the progress briefing were also leaders of PetroVietnam Construction Corporation (PVC) - EPC General Contractor of the project; representatives of a number of specialized committees of the Group; Thai Binh 2 Project Management Board and representatives of subcontractors. At the meeting, Member of the Board of Directors Dinh Van Son said that the Government has reported to the Politburo to solve the problems of the Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant Project with the goal of completing in 2020, thereby completing the Central Thai Binh Thermal Power Center.
