History of formation and development

PetroVietnam Power Fuel Company was formerly known as PetroVietnam Power Coal Import and Supply Company, the predecessor of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group Branch - PetroVietnam Coal Import and Supply Company was established. was established in March 2009 with the task of implementing activities to ensure coal sources for coal power projects of the Oil and Gas Group. The company has gone through the following stages:

Period 2009 - 2013

On 17/4/2009, Branch of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group - PetroVietnam Coal Import and Supply Company was officially established.

Period 2013 to present

PV Power Coal Import and Supply Company (PV Power Coal) was established on March 19, 2013 on the basis of receiving the capital, assets and personnel of the PetroVietnam Import and Supply Company (PV Coal); Change the subject of contracts and inherit all rights and obligations of PV Coal.

In April 2019, the Company was renamed PetroVietnam Power Fuel Company (PVPF), performing the main task of providing fuel (coal, oil) for PV Power's power projects. Other information and functions continue to inherit from PV Power Coal.

Function & Tasks

PetroVietnam Power Fuel Company performs the following main functions and tasks:

Function

Acting as the focal point on behalf of PV Power to negotiate and sign contracts (as decentralized and authorized) with domestic and foreign suppliers, deploy activities to ensure coal, oil, and LNG fuel sources. stable supply for power projects of PV Power/PVN.
Acting as the focal point on behalf of PV Power to advise in business, investment, investment cooperation, strategic agreement,... in the field of import and distribution of coal, oil, and LNG fuels throughout PV Power.

Tasks

Fuel supply (coal, oil, LNG): Arrange a stable and long-term fuel source; Contract management and implementation.
Logistics services: Ensuring a full range of logistics services in order to meet the most convenient and effective response to the supply of coal, oil, and LNG fuels; Step by step participate in the management and investment of import infrastructure (inland transportation and transmission).
Consulting work: Acting as a focal point on behalf of PV Power, advising units inside and outside the industry on investment and investment cooperation to ensure the signing and implementation of coal, oil, and LNG trading contracts. most convenient and effective.
Studying the plan of mixing, building coal centers to supply factories.
